This was so fun in 2022, we’re bringing it back for 2024. These are free group runs in places where we’ve wanted to host a race, but cannot for various reasons. Each of these events has a route we will run and then we’ll go get food and drinks together afterwards. There are three of these this off-season; 1/14 27, 2/17, and 3/9.
Group Run 1 is what we fondly call the Fort to Fort to Fort. We’ll do an out-and-back from Fort Clatsop to the beach, and then head to Fort George Brewpub. The route includes some fun single track through thick forests, open pastures with cows, and some beachy trails to the ocean.
Run Details:
- 12.5 miles (you can go shorter by turning back sooner or do a smaller loop within Fort Clatsop)
- 1319′ gain
- About 2.5 hours of running with regroup stops and some hang time at the beach

There is a $10 fee to park at Fort Clatsop (and use the park). You can purchase it in the visitor center in the morning, or buy online ahead of time (although it looks like you may have to present this at to the visitor center anyway – not sure about that).
