The original east-of-Wy’east race, this 50-miler and 50K is possibly our most scenic yet. You will want to return to these ridgeline trails again and again.
The Wy’east Wonder is a point-to-point race run mostly on two ridges alongside Mt. Hood; Gunsight Ridge and Surveyor’s Ridge. You will have so many views of Wy’east (the Multnomah Tribe word for Mt. Hood) as you make your way from it’s southern side around to the east, that you may actually get tired of looking at it. We promise we’ll take your breath away, and it won’t be from only running. The 50M route has 7,600′ of elevation gain and 10,600 of loss. The 50K has 4,300′ of gain and 7,200′ of loss.

The above is only Go Beyond Racing’s registration fee and does not include Ultrasignup’s processing fees, any taxes, or add-ons you select. Those are included in the prices on the Ultrasignup site.
2025 Registration Opens January 15th
Wait list is enabled when the race sells out. It is free to get on the wait list. Your card is charged if and when you accept the email invite to move off the wait list.
Please note that there are no transfers to other runners and no refunds. If you need to cancel your registration and it’s more than 30 days prior to the race, you will receive a 50% credit toward a future Go Beyond Racing race. If your cancellation is 30 days or less from race day, there is no credit. By registering, you agree to this Cancellation Policy.

50-Miler
50K
There are two bib pick up options:
All racers must pick up their bib at Red Barn Park race morning or at Solera Brewery Friday evening – there is NO bib pick up at the start line. Photo ID is REQUIRED to pick up your bib.
There is no racer or spectator parking at either the START line or FINISH line so all racers, volunteers, and spectators will park at the Red Barn Park in Parkdale. Participants can park on the city streets and in the field next to the park. Volunteers will direct you where to park in the field race morning. There is no overnight parking in the field.
Runners will ride shuttles to get to the starting line. Sorry, but there is not room on the shuttles for spectators to go to the start. Runners can get dropped off the start, but there is no parking so be ready to get out of the vehicle when you arrive so your driver can leave right away.
Shuttles will bring racers back to Red Barn Park after they cross the finish line. Spectators can take the shuttle from Red Barn to the finish line to watch their runner come in, and then ride the shuttle back to Red Barn with them. Runners have priority seating on the finish shuttles, so spectators may have to wait for the next shuttle if one is full of runners. Finish shuttles run about at least every 30 minutes.

The Wy’east Wonder bases out of the Red Barn Park, in Parkdale (4943 Baseline Dr, Mt Hood, OR 97041). Parkdale is a 22-minute/16 mile drive south of Hood River, on Highway 35.

You can find hotels in Hood River and in Government Camp. There are numerous campgrounds, including the Toll Bridge Park Campground, and Airbnb rentals in the area.
There is no overnight or car camping at Red Barn Park.
When you finish, you will take a shuttle back to the Red Barn Park where you parked. There, we’ll feed and rehydrate you with amazing burritos, Cascade Lakes Brewing beer, and AVID hard cider, sparkling waters, and chocolate milk. There are live finish line results so you can see when the other runners finish. We’ll have an awards ceremony where the top three men, women, and non-binary finishers from each distance will receive great prizes from our sponsors. We will also hand out three-deep age-group awards, and have lots of raffle prizes. Every finisher earns a Wy’east Wonder pint glass.
We’ve had misty, cloudy days and pretty darn warm days at this race. The weather at the start and first part of the course can be different at the start than near the end, as you are moving around the mountain and getting out its rain shadow.
