Updated for 2020: Even though the race was cancelled, we were still committed to donating to the race beneficiary, the Pacific Crest Trail Association. But because of the hardship the Coronavirus has caused many families, we also wanted to donate to a food bank local to the race location. We selected the Sandy Community Action Center, a hunger relief agency that serves the residents of the Oregon Trail School District. We also provided an option for the racers to donate their registration fee to the food bank instead of receiving the race credit.
Go Beyond Racing donates a portion of your registration fee to a worthy organization.
The beneficiary of the Mt. Hood 50 is the Pacific Crest Trail Association.
The Pacific Crest Trail Association (PCTA) is a fraternity of trail lovers at its core. From across the country and the world, its members travel to the mountain ranges of the American West to beat back brush and restore this trail. From shore to shore, it champions the needs of the Pacific Crest Trail. An eclectic band of trail junkies, for sure, but so much more. Its dedicated to the notion that its hard work to protect, preserve and promote this National Scenic Trail is a precious gift to future generations. The PCTA is a non-profit singularly focused on preserving, protecting and promoting the PCT.
