More and more people are discovering that the Tillamook Forest is a great place to run. The trails are quite challenging and the vistas are far-reaching.
This race has three distances and each are tough.
The 50K might be considered by some the easiest because you don’t climb the mountains, but the course will surprise you with its rolling climbs and descents as you make you way out-and-back and then out-and-back the other direction along the Wilson River.
The 25K is steep. And rugged. There are sections where you’re scrambling up with your hands and descending with the assistance of ropes.
If the 25K doesn’t sound hard enough, then the Mountain Marathon is sure to make you question your sanity. This race has 8,000 feet of climbing in just 27.5 miles.
