Camp Lug-A-Chug

Camp Lug-A-Chug 2026 occurs the weekend before the Volcanic and is how we get the water to the remote aid stations for the race. Volunteers show up for one or both days of hiking jugs of water on their backs and the race could not happen without everyone’s time and strength.
We gather Saturday and Sunday mornings, at 8:00 a.m. at the lower Marble Mountain Sno Park lot to break into teams, divide up the water, and then head to the trailheads. Each hike is up to 9 miles roundtrip. We’re in no hurry as we have the whole day, but we usually finish up in 3ish hours. After each day’s hike, everyone returns to Marble Mountain Sno Park where we’ll have a big and delicious spread for you. Plan to stick around and eat until you can’t anymore.
Camping Friday and/or Saturday night is optional.
We have backpacks to loan if you don’t have one or yours isn’t large enough.
Please sign up (it’s free) so we know how many to expect each day. https://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=132417
