Cupless Racing with HydraPak

Go Beyond Racing was a pioneer in cupless trail racing, starting back to 2016. We continue to keep our focus on reducing waste in innovative ways at our events and are really happy about our partnership with HydraPak.

We will have reusable SpeedCups available at bib pickup for runners who don’t yet have one. These flexible cups are easy to shove into a vest pocket, slide inside a bra strap, stuff in your shorts pocket, or clip onto your pack. It’s quick and simple to grab it as you approach an aid station where a volunteer will fill it up with water, GU electrolyte drink, or even broth at a longer event. They hold just over 6 ounces.

HydraPak started creating flexible performance hydration systems in 2001. Their line of products are ideal for both training day and race days. This year we offering all Go Beyond race registrants a one-time use, 20% site-wide discount: gobeyond-cr20.

HydraPak’s run line consists of vest-compatible soft flasks, handheld bottles, and hydration reservoirs, so no matter your preferred way to drink you are covered.

“Cupless” means that there are not disposable cups at the aid stations for runners to use. Volunteers will help racers refill their handheld bottles and bladders with water and electrolyte. But if you want to drink soda, electrolyte drink, or pickle juice out of a cup, you’ll need to bring your own.
