The Pick Your Poison relay is a fun loop relay at Hagg Lake, near Gaston and Forest Grove Oregon. The event is full of choices; trail or road, team or solo, and 12- or 24-hours… so pick your poison!
Grab a bunch of your friends and make it a weekend to remember. Or reach deep and see how far you can go alone. Either way, the goal of the race is to complete as many laps as you can. You’ll spend the day or all day and night running around the lake. Teams of 2, 4, 6 or 8… or do the entire thing solo.
Do you like dirt or pavement? There’s a trail and a road route. You can run full laps, or hand off part-way around the lake for both courses. The race is at Henry Hagg Lake, near Forest Grove, Oregon. The start and finish is at Boat Ramp C. Maps are on the Course page.
All the fun starts at 8:00 am on Saturday, July 23rd. The 12-hour race ends at 8:00 pm Saturday evening. The 24-hour race ends at 8:00 am Sunday morning.

The park is developing a camping area at the lake, but it isn’t ready for prime-time yet. However, we are allowed to have people camp for our race. You can pitch a tent on the grassy areas around the Boat Ramp C parking lot or on the pavement in front of your vehicle. There is a more secluded area if you are wanting to pitch your tent away from all the activity. Trailers/RVs are also ok and can go in a parking space. There is no water or electrical hookups. We can help you find a spot when you check in Friday evening. Individual campfires are NOT allowed. We will have a fire going at the main exchange Friday night, so bring your marshmallows.
