For the Go Race Series, runners help choose the charity!

The 2017 charity is Forward Stride.

Founded in 2003, Forward Stride is dedicated to improving lives through equine-assisted activities and therapies, including:

• Rehabilitation Services offers people of all ages sessions with licensed physical, speech, and occupational therapists who specialize in using equine movement as a treatment tool in integrated treatment plans.
• Veterans Program offers military veterans opportunities to participate in therapeutic riding and other activities at the barn.

The 2016 charity was Compassion First.

Compassion First exists to oppose the oppression of commercial sexual exploitation. The organization doesn’t wish to simply eradicate this crime. While being a part of a worldwide movement working to end modern-day slavery, it must also care for its survivors. Compassion First provides holistic aftercare for trafficking survivors, partnered law enforcement training, safe pathways for survivors through the court system, and financial collaboration for rescues of trafficked persons.
