We’re mixing things up this year and kicking off the season with a party AND trail work. You’re invited for a portion or the entire thing! This event is a fundraiser for the Forest Park Conservancy, so please bring CASH.
1) TRAIL WORK We’ll start the day with three hours of trail work in Forest Park (on Earth Day ya’ll)! 9:00-12:00
[WOW! Both work parties are already full. Thank you to those who so eagerly registered. If you missed out, you can get on the wait list]
Sign up to volunteer at one of these locations, both at or near the Skyline Tavern or Springville trailhead:
Location #1
Location #2
Parking for the trail work is at the Skyline Tavern only. Please DO NOT park at the trailhead as there won’t be room. Park at the Tavern and we’ll shuttle you to and from the trail work. Shuttles will run 8:30-8:50 so we can start working at 9:00 – don’t be late! If you want to park at a different trailhead and run/hike to the trail work – amazing – we’ll see you at Springville at 9:00.
If the Tavern lot fills up, you can park just down the street in the empty lot at Skyline Blvd & Germantown Rd and walk up to the Tavern.
2) PARTY After the trail work, we’ll party and socialize at the iconic Skyline Tavern*. 12:00-3:00
There’ll be delicious chili and cornbread, Lucky Lab beer and Roaming Nobles n/a, hard cider, and soft drinks. We’re financially supporting the Forest Park Conservancy through this event and they will unveil a new and really cool way to support the them at the party. There’s also a creative BINGO game that will raise some money and give you a chance to earn a free race entry to the Go Beyond Racing race of your choice and a raffle with some great stuff to win. BIN-GO Beyond cards are just a buck each, and raffle tickets are $5 each, so bring some cash to buy several to increase your odds of winning and to support the FPC.
This event is open to anyone who has ever participated in a Go Beyond Racing event, or plans to do so this year.
Dress code historically is western wear. We’re at the ol’ Skyline Tavern and what better excuse to wear that buckle!
*No, the Tavern has not reopened to the public, but we’ll be hosting a private party there.
