We’ve partnered with Trailkeepers of Oregon to bring you a course to teach the US Forest Service Crosscut and Swamp skills. These are in high demand with all the trailwork out there, especially with the lack of work that was able to get done during the pandemic and then the added damage caused by the fierce Labor Day windstorm. The course includes an online component and then a field day where you get to put your skills to work.
Registration is FREE – sign up here
You can add a donation to the Trailkeepers of Oregon during registration if you like. You will need to wear a hard hat and you can purchase your very own during registration also. If you don’t have one and don’t want to buy one, TKO will have one you can borrow.
Note that the online component to this course must done before our field day on March 13. The online portion is at your leisure and there is a link to it on the registration page. The field day is in the Columbia River Gorge, likely near Multnomah Falls. We will announce the exact location prior to the 13th as it is dependent on conditions.
Questions? Ask us. We want you to be comfortable attending and gaining these valuable skills.
