Want to check out part of the course before race day? Join us for a free preview run on Saturday, August 10th.
Everyone will meet at the finish, at Lemolo Lake. We’ll carpool to the Toketee Campground (where the Toketee aid station is), about a 20-minute drive, and then run the 17 miles back to Lemolo Lake. This will show you a section of both the 50K and 100K course, and arguably one of the most scenic parts of the course despite it’s name of Dread and Terror. This will also give those running the 100K a chance to see an area that could be dark when they are racing.
We’ll have some refreshments waiting for you at the end.
Given the distance of the race from Portland, we’ll start the run at 10:00 a.m., so that people can drive down early that morning (about a 4.5 hour drive). Camping or staying nearby the night before or the night of the preview run is a good option too. You could check out the Umpqua Hot Springs the next day or go to Crater Lake – make a weekend of it!
