A classic weekend of racing in the Pacific Northwest! The Mt. Hood 50M, 50K, and 25K are very popular events that all take place near Timothy Lake, in Oregon. The starting and finishing locations are the same for all three, at the Historic Clackamas Ranger Station.
The 50M route is almost entirely on the Pacific Crest Trail, first heading north towards Frog Lake and then coming back through the start area to go south to Warm Springs and then back. This race is on Saturday and is a lottery.
The 50K follow the same route at the 50M until the way back, and then runners run around Timothy Lake before crossing the finish line. This race is on Sunday and is not a lottery but fills up very quickly.
The 25K doesn’t run on the Pacific Crest Trail, but involves some fun trails just east and northeast of the start, and then finish by going around Timothy Lake. This race is on Sunday.
