This is the highlight of our summer as we get to spend the weekend in an incredible place, with friends and family. Our annual Mountain Lakes 100 course preview weekend includes two days of running on the race course, camping at Olallie Lake, campfires with smores, newt and tadpole hunting with the kiddos, swimming, row-boating, and fishing, and plenty of leisure time enjoying the scenery.
We will lead a 26-mile group run Saturday morning on the southern loop of the Mountain Lakes 100 course, and another run on Sunday morning on the PCT north of Olallie Lake. Sundays run is as long or short as you want it. Both runs will start from the Olallie Lake Resort parking lot at 8:00 am.
The runs are free and open to anyone, not just those running the Mountain Lakes 100 race… but it is a great way to preview sections of the course.
This is a very family-friendly weekend, so bring your kids.
There are several campgrounds around the lake and all camping spots are available on a first-come basis. We try to get spots at the Penisula campground. We’ll post a sign with the campsite number we end up in on the main resort sign board.
