Are you curious about the amazing races and adventure runs the Pacific Northwest has to offer, but been stymied by a lack of good information, knowledge, or confidence? Maybe fears of getting lost, or uncertainties about how to find water or plan your nutrition has kept you from getting deep in the mountains. Perhaps you’ve raced a few trail races, but are unsure how to make the leap from an event to an adventure run of your own design.
This class from alpenflo is the place to learn the fundamentals of adventure running in a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment. You’ll come away from this course with a solid understanding of the steps needed to plan your own adventure run including finding the right run for you, getting the maps and navigation apps you need, food/water/equipment considerations, and how to navigate back to your route should you get lost. The goal of this course is to empower you with knowledge and skills to safely take on bigger and more adventurous runs.
